Data Security and privacy: What can be seen by employees, managers, senior management and admin

Motivii provides four levels of data sharing, depending on the user's level of access:

Employees have access to their own Status Updates, Motivation Score, and Engagement Score. Of these features, only the Status Updates are shared by name with their manager. All other data is completely anonymous to their manager and the rest of their organisation, unless the individual specifically selects otherwise (as with Objectives, for example).

Employees may also have access to team and company data, if managers have enabled this function.

Managers get regular automated emails summarising their direct reports' Status Updates. They can also access aggregated, anonymised insight on their team's motivation and engagement at any time.

If a manager is also a direct report, the above rules for employee data access apply to their personal data.ย

Managers are also able to ask their team Custom Questions.

Full view users can access rich data on the whole of their organisation. However, at this level, the person submitting the data will never be known by name. Insights from Anonymous Questions are always (surprise, surprise) anonymous, and so are individual Engagement Scores and Motivation Scores.

Full view users can also access Status Updates, but all updates are anonymous, and entries from different teams are scrambled to protect individuals' and teams' identity.

Admin access enables the user to change essential parts of the company Motivii account, including the ability to customise questions for the whole organisation.

Admin users can also ask Custom Questions to the whole organisation. They can also change when the Motivii Update is due in the scheduling tab.
