What do you mean by motivation?

Motivation is the fuel that allows us to do things, from getting out of bed in the morning to climbing the Alps. Without motivation we can't do or achieve anything.

This differs to happiness, because we believe that it's possible to be happy at work, but not feel challenged or engaged with what you do. Therefore motivation is more closely tied to your performance.

By measuring your motivation over time we are able to feedback insights to you and help you to better understand how you're doing at work over time. By aggregating your motivation recordings with the people you work with, we're able to help your manager and organisation understand what they can do to boost motivation at your place of work.

A team away day or canteen can help improve motivation at work. But by how much? With Motivii, you can the positive impact these things have on the people you work with.

So how do I measure my motivation?

You rate your motivation every time you do the Motivii Update with our motivation slider.

The first time you log in to Motivii, you're asked to rate your desired motivation. It doesn't matter if your motivation average or range is different to other people's because we never compare motivation scores directly.

You and your team's combined motivation score is always understood as relative to your desired motivation scores. This gives a more accurate result because everyone has a different idea of what their desired motivation should be.

Only you are only to see your own motivation by name. Read more about who can see what data.
