Anyone can set and update personal objectives on Motivii. To add objectives, go to Me > Objectives

Here you're able to add an objective. Give it a title, a description and a due date. If you have a manager, your manager will also be able to add objectives into Motivii on your behalf.

You then choose the objective type - whether it's a target objective or a development objective. Pick target objective if you're working towards a set goal, and pick a development objective if you're working on you're own personal development.

Managers can also add an objective on behalf of an employee.

After that you'll also be asked for your 'alignment' (if your organisation has enabled it). An alignment is a company-wide value, goal or mission that everyone at your organisation is working to. It's easy for your direct reports to forget what these are when they're working on day-to-day tasks, but these are important to keep in mind when setting longer-term goals.

โ€‹Updating your objectives via the Motivii Update

At the end of each Motivii Update you'll be asked to update your objectives by selecting either on track, may miss, or off track from our simple traffic light system. This helps remind you what you're working towards each week and keeps your manager updated with your progress.

Updating your objectives on our platform

You'll also update how your objectives are going on the platform ahead of a review with your manager. Just go to Me > Objectives to change the status of any open objectives, or to mark them as being completed or missed.

Whenever you open, edit, or close an objective, we make a record at the bottom of the page, under 'Activity'. You and your manager can add any comments to any of these activities, to help clarify or describe the change.ย

When an objective is added, edited, completed or deleted, your manager will receive an email notification to let them know about the change. You and your manager will also receive email notifications to let you about any unread comments.
